Douglasville Kennel Club of Georgia, Inc.
Established 1974

We are a non-profit organization with a commitment to the education of
the dog owner, potential dog owner, and non-dog owners in our community. The objective of our club is to advance the principles and practices in
the breeding of pure-bred dogs; promote and conduct licensed dog shows
and sanctioned matches under the rules and Regulations of the AMERICAN
KENNEL CLUB, and to promote social and recreational activities in
connection with dog breeding and exhibition.
The Douglasville Kennel Club is active in our community, offering
monthly educational meetings, low-cost training classes, Canine Good
Citizen testing, AKC Sanctioned "B: Matches, and events such as Meet the
Breeds as a service to the community. All of our instructors are highly
qualified volunteers with many years of experience showing in
conformation as well as obedience, agility and rally.
Each spring and fall, we host two AKC Sanctioned
Conformation shows with
outdoor rings in the spring and indoor rings in the fall. We share our
shows in the spring with the Newnan Kennel Club in Newnan Georgia and in
the fall with the Atlanta Kennel Club at the Atlanta South Expo Center
in Atlanta.
