Matt Roper our current recipient will be graduating in 2007. 

We congratulate Matt on his hard work and Douglasville is very proud to have been his sponsor for the last 3 years.

Matt is a native of Bowdon, Georgia and has spent the past 7 years working with a Veterinarian in Bowdon during his summers.

 
 
At the awards dinner in Athens, Matt told us when he started writing his essay for our consideration, he began as needed and then just kept  writing from his heart.
